My mother has one too, and she has no problems or complaints about it.I would (and have) recommend this webcam to anyone who is looking for one to buy. Picture quality is good, and the mic is clear and strong. An impressive little camera that has made talking with friends and family that much more fun. Took no time to install, and very easy to do. I liked it so much, I sent one to my father for Christmas.
I use it for Skype and it works perfectly. For LESS money, this camera is much nicer looking, smaller, more versatile, and has a MUCH better picture that focuses automatically. The flexible stand is very versatile and easy to use whether you want to place this camera on top of your monitor, or on the desk.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I bought a Logitech webcam before buying this camera and it was awful. Very hard to focus. Great video and great audio.
You may have to adjust the pictuer quality the way you want it. I adjusted mine and it was fine. We have the same Web Cam. We had to use a head set to hear each other. I talk to my granddaughter with it. This works good. Although I'm not sure about the sound. It's easy to hook up.
The bottom line is that this camera is extremely user friendly and gives a clear picture. My parents are relatively computer savvy for their generation, but they aren't gurus and had never used a webcam before. I bought this camera as a gift for my parents who live across the country so that we could video chat. The video quality is much nicer than on the camera that is built into my laptop. They didn't have any trouble hooking the camera up to their computers though.
